✔ For furniture with leather or faux leather upholstery, wipe first with a cloth dampened in soapy water, then with a cloth dampened in clean water. Another method is to add a little vinegar to the water.

✔ If chewing gum sticks to the furniture, place an ice pack (in a plastic bag) on the gum to harden it, then gently scrape it off with a blunt knife.

✔ Clean coffee stains with a cloth dampened in soapy water. Blood stains can be easily cleaned with cold water. Ink stains can be removed using acetone.

✔ If red wine spills, immediately blot the liquid. Then sprinkle salt on the wet stain. When the salt absorbs the wine and the stain dries, gently vacuum it off.
