Founded in 1996, Embawood is the first local furniture brand in Azerbaijan. From the beginning, the company has embraced a customer-oriented strategy as its core principle and continues to work diligently in this direction. In order to better reflect the desired style in furniture, Embawood has updated its quality system and raised its service standards to a new level.
To achieve its goals, the company prioritizes a wide product portfolio, modern and luxurious design, quality control, after-sales service, and a strong customer focus. Embawood LLC operates under the tax identification number (VOEN) 6400009481 at the address: 15A Basti Baghirova Street, Yasamal District, Baku, Azerbaijan.
Embawood currently operates six factories located in Masalli, Khirdalan, and Sumgayit (Azerbaijan), as well as in countries such as Ukraine and Georgia. In addition, the Embawood brand has stores in these countries.
Significant milestones in the company’s development over the years:
1996 – Establishment of the first production facility in Masalli
2000 – Opening of the second factory in Khirdalan
2000 – Launch of "Ideal Design", an office furniture brand
2002 – Introduction of the Embawood brand to the market
2004 – ISO 9001:2000 International Quality Management System certification obtained
2005 – Establishment of regional warehouses
2006 – New factory opened in Tbilisi, Georgia
2007 – Opening of the first retail store, marking the start of direct sales
2008 – Expansion into foreign markets
2009 – Launch of the first EN standard-compliant quality testing laboratory in the CIS region
2010 – Factory opened in Sambor, Western Ukraine
2010 – Launch of second home furniture brand "Madeyra" and mattress brand "Dolce Noche"
2011 – Rebranding of the Embawood brand
2014 – Furniture factory opened in Kazakhstan
2015 – Received OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for environment and safety
2015 – Obtained ISO 14001:2004 International Quality Management System certification
2015 – Memorandum signed between Embawood and the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction
2016 – Establishment of the Supervisory Board within the company and transition to CEO-led management
2017 – Embawood workshop established at the University of Architecture and Construction
2017 – Company founder Elshad Abbasov awarded the “Progress” medal
2023 – Embawood opened a new store in Tajikistan
2024 – Embawood opened a new store in Uzbekistan
2024 – Formation of the “Embawood Chovgan” (traditional horse polo) team
2024 – Embawood named a winner of the “Best Managed Companies Azerbaijan 2024” business competition
